Job description

The Sputter Process Technician will execute process characterization, monitor sputter processes, and support production at Western Digital, a leader in data storage technology.

Your role

Here’s what you will be doing:

  • Perform process characterization for sputter equipment and materials.
  • Conduct buy-off by verifying key process input variables (KPIV), including pressure, temperature, and voltage.
  • Perform measurements and data collection for characterization samples.
  • Monitor key process output variables (KPOV) during production to ensure process stability and product quality.
  • Perform process adjustments as needed to maintain specifications and resolve deviations.
  • Assist in troubleshooting process and equipment issues to minimize downtime.
  • Maintain accurate records of process parameters, test results, and adjustments.
  • Adhere to safety guidelines and cleanroom protocols at all times.
About you

The company is looking for:

  • Diploma or certificate in Engineering, Manufacturing Technology, or related field.
  • 0-3 years of experience in semiconductor manufacturing or sputter process operations is an advantage.
