A leading manufacturing company in Johor, Malaysia is seeking a Production Operator to operate and monitor production machines. Responsibilities include ensuring quality standards, performing routine checks, and conducting basic troubleshooting on equipment. Candidates should possess a Technical Certificate or Diploma in a relevant field and have 1–2 years of hands-on experience, although fresh graduates are encouraged to apply. The position requires the ability to work in a shift-based environment and offers opportunities for career development.
Operate and monitor production machines such as mixers, spray dryers, presses, glazing lines, and kiln systems.
Ensure process parameters (temperature, pressure, moisture, speed, etc.) are within standard limits.
Adjust machine settings under supervision to maintain stable production flow.
Start up, shut down, and assist in changeover of production lines according to SOPs.
Perform routine in-process checks on tile quality (size, thickness, moisture, aesthetics).
Record and update operational data, logs, and check sheets accurately.
Identify abnormalities or deviations and report immediately to the shift leader or engineer.
Take corrective actions within authority limits to stabilize the process.
Follow QC standards and ensure raw materials and products meet Guocera’s quality specifications.
Assist in sampling for laboratory testing.
Support root-cause investigations for defects such as warpage, pinholes, breakages, color variation, etc.
Ensure proper handling of non-conforming products as per procedure.
Conduct basic troubleshooting on mechanical/electrical issues (e.g., jams, misalignment, sensor errors).
Perform routine preventive checks and minor adjustments to ensure machine reliability.
Assist maintenance technicians during breakdowns, repairs, and maintenance activities.
Report equipment abnormalities early to prevent downtime.
Technical Certificate / Diploma (e.g., in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Mechatronic, or related)
Minimum 1–2 years of hands-on experience in production or maintenance, preferably in ceramic/stone/glass manufacturing
Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.
Basic mechanical or electrical troubleshooting knowledge.
Ability to work in shift-based environment
