A medical technology company in Penang is seeking a Process Engineer who will lead project implementations and design fixtures for new products. This role focuses on maintaining equipment standards and involves both leadership and hands-on activities requiring a degree in Mechanical Engineering. Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply. Process Engineering Engineer (Ultrasonic Welding / Laser Engraving / Hot Melting)
Lead the planning and implementation of new projects, including process, cycle time, production lines, equipment, fixtures, and engineering installations, ensuring that actual yield and efficiency meet expected target values.
Assist the PE Structural Engineer in establishing and implementing standardized management specifications for post-process equipment and fixtures, and provide related training.
Lead the design of fixtures, packaging solutions, verification, sample approval, and execution of new product prototyping, handling mass production anomalies and customer complaints to ensure stable quality and on‑time delivery.
Lead DOE validation, OQ and PQ execution, and arrange and execute pre‑production training sessions.
Lead and coordinate the creation and maintenance of process flow charts, POP, SOP, SAP process routes, as well as the establishment and maintenance of product weights.
Lead and participate in continuous optimization efforts after mass production, including execution and completion of improvement tasks.
Familiar with laser engraving machine, ultrasonic machine, jig & fixture design debugging, Tempo or silk screen printing & hot melting machine.
Responsible for equipment management and timely updating of new equipment information.
Responsible for leading the installation, commissioning and acceptance of new equipment.
Responsible for writing and formulating equipment operating specifications.
Responsible for formulating equipment maintenance plans and assisting equipment technician in completing equipment maintenance.
Supervise the safe operation of equipment and daily inspection and maintenance of equipment in the equipment using department.
Responsible for handling equipment faults, handling accidents safely, and making fault analysis and improvement reports on typical equipment failures to ensure the normal operation of the equipment.
Responsible for regular inspections of supervisory equipment, mastering the operating status of equipment, handling problems in a timely manner, and nipping equipment abnormalities in the bud.
Provide guidance and help technicians complete difficult problems in their work.
Requirements:
Degree or above in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
Familiar with SOP, POP, Flow Chart, Process Routing Designation.
Familiar with UG or design fixture software or Solidworks.
Familiar with using Microsoft office software and PPT presentation.
Have professional mechanical and electrical knowledge.
Must be willing to hands‑on and work in plastic injection molding.
