We are seeking an experienced Process Engineer to join our dynamic team at FERROTEC POWER SEMICONDUCTOR MALAYSIA SDN. BHD. in Pasir Gudang, Johor. As a Process Engineer, you will play a crucial role in optimising and improving our manufacturing processes to ensure the highest quality standards are met. This is a full‑time position based at our state‑of‑the‑art facility in Pasir Gudang.
What you'll be doing
Process: DCB Sintering
- Monitor process status, assess the impact of changes in process parameters on products, and verify their reasonableness.
- Development of new products and processes
- Regularly evaluate processes or control plans, responsible for formulating technical and process documents and standards, and establish and improve on‑site standardised operating procedures, regularly updating or maintaining various technical documents, including operation instructions, FMEA, etc.
- Establish product quality and related inspection standards
Process: Laser Cutting and Final Inspection Packaging
- Manage and continuously update process documents for cutting, punching, coding, final inspection, packaging, etc., ensuring consistency in FMEA/CP/guidance sheets/production reports, etc.
- Maintain and assist in coordinating the normal production and yield maintenance of processes such as cutting, punching, coding, final inspection, packaging, etc.
- Drive improvement projects for yield enhancement in cutting, punching, coding, final inspection, packaging, and other processes.
Process: Graphics Transfer and Surface Treatment
- Track, analyse, confirm, and improve abnormal issues in the production line.
- Continuously drive projects related to technical improvements or cost savings, as well as assess and introduce new technologies, equipment, and materials.
- Develop technical and process documents and standards. Responsible for establishing and refining on‑site standardised operational procedures. Regularly update or maintain various technical documents, including operation guides, FMEA, etc.
- Provide input on proposals for trial products, new products and new technologies. Guide the production line in making and tracking the results of these samples.
What we're looking for
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Process Engineering, Chemical Engineering or a related field
- Fresh graduates are welcome to apply for the Process Engineer position
- Strong understanding of process engineering principles, statistical process control, and lean manufacturing methodologies
- Proficient in data analysis, problem‑solving and decision‑making skills
- Experience in process optimisation, equipment troubleshooting and root cause analysis
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross‑functional teams
- Ability to work in a fast‑paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities
