Meet The Team

Under the direction of the Manager of Engineering, the Process Engineer provides technical support for the improvement, installation, validation and transfer of replicate custom wet coating equipment used in the scale‑up of manufacturing for existing or new Dexcom products. These duties include leading or supporting cross‑functional equipment deployment teams while working with outside suppliers to meet process, requirements, equipment specifications and timelines. The Process Engineer is also responsible for defining, developing and implementing a robust monitoring system to measure and quantify process performance in order to reduce scrap, improve product quality and enable best‑in‑class manufacturing.

Where You Come In
  • You will be based in a cleanroom and production floor environment.
  • You collaborate with cross‑functional teams generally and US Global Engineering and R&D Engineering specifically to support the improvement and implementation of replicate NPI Engineering processes, equipment, and tools in Malaysia, focusing on applicator equipment as well as custom testing equipment used in testing and qualification of new Dexcom products.
  • You work in close collaboration with Global Engineering, Site Engineering, R&D, Malaysia Test Lab, and outside equipment suppliers to identify and implement improvements to custom equipment solutions that will improve reliability, efficiency, or yields.
  • You participate in root‑cause analysis and problem‑solving initiatives related to production issues.
  • You maintain process documentation such as work instructions, process flow diagrams, and standard operating procedures (SOPs). You develop product process flow charts, conduct PFMEA, maintain BOM, control plans, and oversee product performance to ensure production readiness.
  • You support continuous improvement projects to reduce costs, improve quality, and enhance productivity.
  • You implement problem‑solving skills and techniques to identify potential equipment risks and develop/implement mitigation plans as needed.
  • You update equipment‑related documentation (manuals, drawings, and specifications) as needed.
  • You communicate effectively with the broader Dexcom team on project progress and challenges.
  • This position assumes and performs other duties as assigned.
