We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Process Engineer to join our dynamic manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for optimizing production processes, improving operational efficiency, and ensuring product quality across our manufacturing operations. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement, troubleshoot technical issues, and support the introduction of new products and technologies. Fresh graduates with relevant internship or co-op experience are encouraged to apply. Mandarin speakers are highly preferred due to our regional operational needs.
1. Process Optimization & Continuous Improvement
- Analyze existing manufacturing processes to identify bottlenecks, inefficiencies, and improvement opportunities in yield, cost, and quality.
- Lead or support continuous improvement initiatives using Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen, and problem-solving methodologies.
- Design, propose, and implement process improvements, equipment upgrades, or new technologies to enhance productivity and product quality.
2. Technical Troubleshooting & Support
- Act as the technical support for production lines, providing timely troubleshooting for process issues, equipment abnormalities, and quality deviations.
- Conduct Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and implement effective Corrective & Preventive Actions (CAPA).
- Monitor and control process parameters to ensure stable and safe operations.
3. Quality & Compliance
- Ensure all processes comply with internal quality standards and relevant regulatory requirements.
- Develop, review, and update SOPs, Process Flow Diagrams (PFD), P&IDs, and Process Control Plans.
- Work closely with Quality Assurance to support process validation, improvement of quality performance, and reduction of defects.
4. Data Analysis & Project Management
- Use statistical tools to analyze data, monitor process capability, and support decision-making.
- Lead or support engineering projects including process upgrades, cost-saving initiatives, and new production line commissioning.
- Prepare technical reports, documentation, and presentations for management review.
5. Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with Production, Quality, Maintenance, and R&D teams to support new product introduction and scale-up from pilot to mass production.
- Provide technical training and guidance to technicians and operators.
Requirements
- Minimum Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, Chemical, Mechatronics Engineering or related fields.
- Fresh graduates are welcome.
- Experience in cable manufacturing, medical device, electronics, or similar industries is an added advantage.
- Good understanding of process engineering fundamentals, production flow, and manufacturing best practices.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.
- Good communication skills and confidence to work with cross-functional teams.
- Mandarin speaking is required (to liaise with Mandarin-speaking engineers, suppliers, and technical documents).
