Job summary

A leading engineering company in Malaysia seeks an engineer responsible for automotive engineering requirements to meet industry standards. The role involves preparing for new product launches, monitoring budgets, coordinating engineering changes, and ensuring process documentation is up-to-date. Candidates will also lead process optimization efforts and manage supplier interactions, ensuring safety and compliance with industry regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for engineering (automotive) requirements to meet IATF 16949.
  • Prepare the readiness of new product launch.
  • Monitor cost/budget utilization and project progress for new product launch.
  • Coordinate any engineering change notice (ECN) from principals or initiated internally.
  • Ensure critical processes are documented and updated to the latest version.
  • Lead process optimization of the modular assembly.
  • Liaise and follow up with supplier/vendor and other departments for any project.
  • Maintain and update tool inventory.
  • Plan and execute yearly preventive maintenance schedule.
  • Manage and control spare part inventory.
  • Ensure safety precautions are followed and maintain good housekeeping.
  • Perform any other tasks assigned by superior.
  • Implement company's policies and procedures.
  • Execute General Duties under OSHA 1994 and EQA 1974.

  • To ensure that tool inventory is updated and maintained.
  • To plan and ensure yearly preventive maintenance schedule being executed.
  • To manage and control spare part inventory.
  • To ensure safety precautions being followed and maintain a good housekeeping environment.
  • To perform any other task assigned by superior from time to time.
  • Implement company's policies and procedures.
  • To execute the General Duties of Employer under part IV Section 15 of Occupational Safety and Health Act (OSHA 1994) and Environmental Quality Act (EQA 1974).
