Location

The position is based in Kuala Lumpur or Johor Bahru and offers a dynamic and collaborative work environment.

Responsibilities
  • Preparation of technical and, costing, and drawing.
  • Liaise with customers for project execution and related matters.
  • Apply process design principles and specifications for equipment sizing and selection.
  • Provide engineering process calculations and equipment selection based on PFD, P&ID, and specification.
  • Overall planning, execution, and completion of projects, including coordination, budgeting scheduling, and achieving profitability targets.
  • Provide engineering and technical support to meet customer goals and expectations.
  • Work effectively with all levels of people and adapt to diverse working environments.
  • Organize, coordinate, and supervise delivery of equipment, site erection, pre-commissioning, and commissioning work with vendors, contractors, and clients.
  • Liaise effectively with clients, authorities, contractors, suppliers, and consultants.
  • Clearly communicate project expectations to team members and stakeholders.
  • Travel to customer sites for support as required.
  • Pursue APAC projects with industrial customers in the region.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree, Postgraduate Diploma, or Professional Degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or equivalent.
  • Minimum 5 years of project management experience in furnace & incinerator design, air pollution control systems, wastewater treatment, or related engineering services.
  • Technically competent in mechanical design, engineering analysis, equipment specification, and project execution.
  • Proven track record of successfully delivering complex engineering projects on time and within budget.
  • Excellent problem‑solving, critical thinking, and decision‑making skills.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities.
  • Proficiency in project management software and tools.
  • Adaptable and able to thrive in a fast‑paced, dynamic environment.
  • Required languages: Malay, English; Japanese is a plus for communicating with Japanese‑speaking clients.
  • Exposure to overseas projects is preferred.
