Job description

Razer Gold’s engineering team is launching a new vertical dedicated to enhancing internal developer productivity and operational efficiency. As a Software Engineering Lead in this newly established Developer Experience team, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the internal tooling ecosystem that empowers our global engineering organization.

You will lead the design and development of self‑service platforms, internal CLI tools, developer portals, and automation systems that streamline workflows across the software development lifecycle. This role is ideal for a hands‑on technical leader with a strong background in full‑stack development, DevOps automation, and cloud‑native infrastructure, particularly within AWS.

You’ll collaborate closely with cross‑functional engineering teams to identify friction points, build scalable solutions, and drive adoption of modern developer experience practices. Your work will directly impact the velocity, quality, and security of our internal engineering processes.

This is a unique opportunity to build foundational systems from the ground up, influence engineering culture, and drive innovation in how we build and operate software at scale.

Description

Design and implement self‑service portals to automate routine IT and DevOps tasks (e.g., environment provisioning, service onboarding, credential rotation).

Build and maintain internal CLI tools, developer portals, and IDE plugins to streamline development workflows.

Collaborate with other engineering teams to identify friction points and deliver solutions that improve productivity.

Develop internal dashboards and alert mechanisms to improve visibility in system health, build pipelines, and operational metrics.

Continuously improve automation coverage to reduce manual intervention and operational overhead.

Communicate effectively with stakeholders to understand operational needs and translate them into technical solutions.

Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology or equivalent.

Minimum 7 years of experience in software development, with at least 2+ years in a lead or senior role.

Hands‑on experience in designing and implementing systems within an AWS environment and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation).

Familiarity with internal developer portals (e.g., Backstage).

Strong background in observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, OpenTelemetry).

Experience integrating security tooling into developer workflows (SAST, SCA & DAST).

Capable of adopting new programming languages or tech stacks when required.

Positive attitude and eagerness to learn, along with quality team lead role.

Good interpersonal skills and able to communicate well to team and management.

Able to work independently and proactive personality.
