Primary English Language Support Teacher (EAL)

Salary: RM10,000 per month

Location: Mantin, Negeri Sembilan (On-site)

Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Primary English Language Support Teacher to support students whose first language is not English across Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2.

The successful candidate will play a key role in helping students access the curriculum fully, achieve their academic potential, and build confidence in using English. This role is central to promoting students’ personal growth and maintaining high standards of English across the Primary School.

Key Responsibilities

English Language Support

• Deliver engaging and targeted English language support to students across KS1 and KS2, aligned with The Bell Foundation EAL Standards
• Assess students’ English proficiency using Bell EAL levels and contribute to individual language development plans
• Work closely with classroom teachers to ensure students can access the mainstream curriculum effectively
• Provide clear, constructive feedback on student progress to students, parents, and colleagues

Planning & Collaboration

• Plan and prepare inclusive, differentiated, and motivating lessons in line with Bell EAL standards and the school’s teaching and learning framework
• Contribute to the development and sharing of English language support resources and teaching materials
• Participate actively in departmental and whole-school meetings
• Collaborate with pastoral and academic teams to support student wellbeing and learning

Tracking & Communication

• Maintain accurate records of student progress and language support
• Prepare written reports and participate in parent-teacher consultations
• Support admissions by assessing the English language proficiency of new students
