Primary Details

Time Type: Full time Worker Type: Employee Provide actuarial services to support our operations in the region. This includes reserving, reporting, portfolio management, pricing, renewals and technical analysis.

Your New Role
  • Perform appropriate checks within processes to minimize inaccuracies.
  • Comply with documentation of key processes and policies to ensure QBE and its divisions:
  • Adhere to relevant Actuarial standards and good practice.
  • Meet all internal reporting requirements.
  • Assist analysis function in the business unit.
  • Use tools and perform tasks to support the following Actuarial activities:
  • Reserving.
  • Portfolio Performance Monitoring.
  • Pricing/Produce Support and Business Planning.
  • Aggregate Management assistance.
  • Any ad hoc work as required.
  • Construct and maintain databases and rater models for benchmarking purposes, MI, reporting, consistency to support business analysis and planning.
  • Research, collate, obtain and analyze statistical data for decision making/specific processes.
  • Produce ad hoc reporting at short notice in response to queries from Underwriters, Managers and Actuaries.
About You
  • General experience of working within the Actuarial function in a multinational financial services business.
  • Understanding of industry practice in Actuarial analysis, modelling and underwriting.
  • Effective communication.
  • Able to persuade and influence both directly and indirectly.
  • Able to work independently.
  • Advanced Excel and other analytical tools.
  • Good skills in the use and interpretation of numerical data.
  • Ability to organize own work to meet deadlines and work within defined procedures.
