Job Summary:

The Production Engineer is responsible for facilitating improvement projects and Kaizen (Rapid Continuous Improvement) events to eliminate waste and increase efficiencies in manufacturing processes, including yield and cycle time improvements. The role requires skills to analyze complex operations, support the plant's strategic plan, provide project management, and employee training and development.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

The essential duties include but are not limited to:

  • Auditing production lines daily and reporting findings to the supervisor.
  • Identifying and correcting issues on the production line immediately to maintain quality and efficiency.
  • Monitoring the implementation of Engineering Changes (EN/ECN) and ensuring proper execution.
  • Collaborating with vendors to troubleshoot and enhance production processes and address quality issues.
  • Supporting New Product Introduction (NPI) by reviewing pilot run documentation, SOPs, and tooling; tracking and closing PR-related open issues.
  • Collaborating cross-functionally with engineering, procurement, and quality assurance teams to implement design changes and improvements.
  • Coordinating closely with Contract Manufacturing project teams in Taiwan, China, Enhance, and Malaysia to align production strategies and resolve issues effectively.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Industrial Technology, or a related field. Relevant diplomas or certifications may also be considered.
  • Ideally, candidates have 5 years of experience in Electronics Manufacturing, preferably in PCBA processes and Power Supply Production.
  • Strong knowledge of electronic components, PCB materials, plastics, mechanical parts, and SMT/DIP assembly processes.
  • Familiarity with Taiwanese business culture and communication practices is a plus.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced team environment.
