Supermicro Malaysia have 2 opening for Power Supply Engineer; Production & Quality.
a. Power Supply Production Engineer
- Audit production lines daily and report findings to the supervisor.
- Identify and correct issues on the production line immediately to maintain quality and efficiency.
- Monitor the implementation status of Engineering Changes (EN/ECN) and ensure proper execution.
- Collaborate with vendors to troubleshoot and enhance production processes and address quality issues.
- Support New Product Introduction (NPI) by reviewing pilot run documentation, SOPs, and tooling (fixture/jigs); track and close PR-related open issues.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, procurement, and quality assurance teams to implement design changes and improvements.
- Coordinate closely with Contract Manufacturing project teams, including Taiwan, China, Enhance and Malaysia to align production strategies and resolve issues effectively.
b. Power Supply Quality Engineer
- Strong background and experience for quality improvement process and issue handling/driving ability.
- Plan and coordinate TQM projects.
- Good concept of IQC process, AQL standard and component test method.
- General knowledge of PCBA processes including SMT, DIP, Assembly, Testing, Packing will be an advantage.
- Preferrable candidate who are familiar with IPC-A-610 electronic manufacturing standard and ability to do trouble shooting on PCBA quality issues.
- Requires the ability to analyze production failure data and coordinate with relevant departments to track issues, generate improvement reports, and assess feasibility for corrective actions.
- Ability to conduct root cause analysis for defects and quality issues. Implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
What you must have to succeed for this roles :
- a. Power Supply Production Engineer
- Approximately 5 years of experience in electronics manufacturing, preferably in PCBA processes, power supply production.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Industrial Technology, or related field. A diploma or relevant certification may also be considered.
- Strong knowledge of electronics components, PCB materials, plastics, mechanical parts, and SMT/DIP assembly processes.
- Familiarity with Taiwanese business culture and communication practices is an asset.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced team environment.
- b. Power Supply Quality Engineer
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Engineering (Electrical, Computer or Communication) or any other field is an advantage, but candidates with related diploma or certificate with good working experience will also be considered.
- Ideally the candidate should have around 5 years of experience in Electrical, Computer or Communication.
- Preferably has around 3 years of hands-on experience in customer support, customer quality, product quality engineering, or product test engineering.
- Candidate with hands on knowledge / application of quality tools, statistics and problem-solving techniques is a plus.
- Candidate with good experience with microelectronics, surface mount technology is a plus.
