As a Power Solutions Group (PSG) business unit operations Staff Engineer, you will have the opportunity to drive PSG strategic cost and quality programs. Your primary responsibility will be to drive execution of Cost and Quality strategy for the PSG business unit operations. You will interface with the product engineering, manufacturing, Quality and technology development teams.

• Develop FAB and Backend cost and quality strategies, optimizations and design solutions that meet the needs and demands of our rapidly expanding business including discrete, integrated circuit and power modules.
• Work with business unit, manufacturing, engineering, quality assurance and other teams to implement cost structure, supply chain and quality improvement.
• Develop and continuously improve methods, systems and processes in a complex and rapidly changing environment.
• Collaborate with a team of product engineers, program and project managers to drive strategic business unit operational initiatives related to cost and quality.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities:

• Product yield, cost, and Quality – identification of opportunities through high‑volume data analysis.
• Utilize multiple tools and systems to identify cost saving opportunities.
• Collaboration with various teams to implement PSG business priorities.
• Working with cross‑functional, global teams to address customer quality issues, RMA and cost. Continuous quality improvements to reduce the rate of customer returns.

Qualifications

Requirements:

• Engineering degree or equivalent technical degree.
• At least 8‑10 years of experience in the semiconductor business operations and/or direct semiconductor manufacturing experience in wafer fab and/or assembly and test.
• Experience in semiconductor manufacturing, Quality, test engineering or product engineering is highly preferred.
• Strong analytical skills with an ability to communicate summarized results and conclusions.
