Job description

Plan, organize, and oversee daily powder coating operations to ensure timely, efficient, and high-quality production.

Monitor production schedules, output, and quality performance to meet customer and company requirements.

Optimize utilization of manpower, materials, and equipment to achieve maximum productivity and cost efficiency.

Ensure all coated products meet quality standards for finish, thickness, adhesion, and color consistency.

Lead process improvement and quality initiatives in collaboration with the Quality and Engineering departments.

Identify process gaps, implement corrective and preventive actions, and maintain consistent coating quality.

Oversee maintenance and calibration of coating equipment and ensure safe and reliable operation of all machinery.

Enforce proper handling and storage of coating materials in compliance with EHS, ISO 14001, and company requirements.

Promote a strong safety culture through regular audits, training, and adherence to environmental and safety regulations.

Supervise and develop coating personnel, fostering teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement.

Monitor and control inventory of powders and chemicals, ensuring FIFO practice and compliance with shelf-life requirements.

Maintain accurate production records, reports, and process documentation for tracking and improvement.

Collaborate closely with Planning, Maintenance, Engineering, and Quality teams to ensure smooth and efficient operations.

Ensure compliance and drive continuous improvement in accordance with ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and IATF 16949 management system requirements.

Perform other duties or assignments as directed by the superior.

QUALIFICATION AND SKILLS

Diploma or Degree in Manufacturing, Mechanical, or related field. Relevant certification or training in coating or production management is an advantage.

Minimum 5 years of experience in powder coating or surface finishing.

Good knowledge of the mechanics and repair of painting equipment.

Able to plan, organize, and monitor production activities effectively.
