A leading supplier in Malaysia is seeking a dedicated professional for inventory planning and purchasing roles. Key responsibilities include managing stock levels, coordinating with purchasing teams, and generating inventory reports. The ideal candidate will have a diploma or degree in Supply Chain Management and at least 2-3 years of relevant experience. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and inventory management systems like SAP and Oracle is essential. Strong analytical and communication skills are necessary for success in this fast-paced environment.
Provide timely support and accurate information to the department for material purchasing and strategic planning.
Monitor and maintain inventory at optimal levels to support operational efficiency.
Develop and implement purchasing plans to ensure stock availability based on demand forecasts.
Coordinate with the purchasing team to verify material availability and ensure delivery schedules are met.
Oversee the management of ageing stock, returns, and surplus inventory to minimise waste and cost.
Contribute to festive and seasonal planning by collaborating across departments to ensure smooth execution.
Generate and analyse inventory control reports to support data-driven decision‑making for supervisors and management.
Identify high-volume operational days, raise alerts, and provide recommendations to optimise floor planning.
Analyse sales and procurement data to inform purchasing strategies and improve stock planning accuracy.
Diploma or Degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business, or a related field.
Minimum 2–3 years of experience in inventory planning, purchasing, or supply chain operations.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret sales and inventory data.
Proficient in Microsoft Excel and inventory management systems (e.g. SAP, Oracle, etc.).
Excellent communication and coordination skills across departments.
Detail‑oriented, proactive, and capable of working in a fast‑paced environment.
