Job summary

A leading staffing and recruitment company is seeking a Planning & Material Control Executive for a 6-month contract in Kuala Lumpur. The role involves ensuring optimal planning of raw and packaging materials, running MRP processes, preparing reports, and supporting S&OP functions. The ideal candidate will have 1-3 years of experience in demand and supply planning and a degree in a related field. Proficiency in English and strong analytical skills are necessary. Job description

Planning & Material Control Executive (6 months contract)

1. Raw Material & Packaging Material Planning – ensure all materials are at the optimum level:

• Run MRP after firming planned order into SAP.
• Plan and issue PR for material required and delivery date according to MRP and run MRP again until the process is completed.
• Generate final Material Delivery Plan for purchasing and warehouse.
• Accountable for inventory level within set KPI and without stock out.
• Check and monitor stock inventory level through the SAP system and ensure materials are available for production use.
• Check with Purchasing Function on packaging materials availability for efficient planning purposes.
• Schedule & plan the material quantity to purchase.
• Update the quantity to be purchased & requested delivery date for each Purchase Requisition
• Transfer the quantity to be purchased & requested delivery date to Material Planning File (Excel)

2. Perform preparation for S&OP Process (Supply Planning): -

• Prepare raw material & packaging material stock holding report for review during the meeting. Simulation will be performed to check the forward month material inventory level and to determine the volume to be purchased of each material.

3. Reports preparation & transaction updates: -

• Prepare Monthly Functional Report (on relevant job areas only)
• Prepare Operation Meeting Presentation (on relevant job areas only)
• Prepare monthly raw material & packaging material forecast for HQ-PMC

4. Perform ad-hoc assignments upon request by the superior.

Education Experience:

• Preferably 1-3 years of experience in demand planning and supply planning in a manufacturing environment
• Degree Holder in related field

Requirements & Skill:

• Prepared to work independently, and under pressure & possess a high sense of responsibility.
• Good command of written and spoken English. Being able to speak Cantonese/Mandarin will be an added advantage.
• A good team player.
• Proficiency in using PC – Certain degree of Mastering – Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
• Good analytical skills and work well in details.
• Good planning and organizing skill are essential.
