Job description

Apollo Food Industries (M) Sdn Bhd is seeking an experienced and highly driven Planning Manager to lead and optimise our end-to-end production planning function. This role is critical in balancing demand forecasts, inventory levels, production capacity and operational efficiency to support Apollo’s strong growth and delivery commitments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead overall production planning and scheduling to meet business demand while ensuring production continuity.
  • Manage raw materials and finished goods inventory to prevent shortages or overstocking.
  • Analyse data, demand trends and historical performance to support accurate forecasting.
  • Resolve planning challenges including production delays, material shortages and demand fluctuations.
  • Drive strong cross‑functional collaboration with Production, Procurement, Warehouse/Logistics, Sales & Marketing and QA/QC.
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance planning efficiency, workflow and cost control.
  • Present regular performance reports and planning insights to senior management.
Who We’re Looking For
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Food Science, Supply Chain, Logistics or related field.
  • Minimum 8 years’ experience in production planning within manufacturing (preferably food industry), with at least 3 years in a managerial role.
  • Strong background in demand planning, inventory management and production scheduling.
  • Proficient in ERP/MPS planning systems with excellent analytical and reporting capability.
  • Strong leadership, communication, decision‑making and stakeholder management skills.
  • Knowledge in GMP, HACCP, ISO / FSSC is an added advantage.
