Job summary

A food manufacturing company in Penang is seeking an experienced Production Planner to oversee and optimize production schedules. The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of experience in production or supply chain planning and strong SAP knowledge. Key responsibilities include monitoring production progress, adjusting plans as needed, and coordinating with various departments. Candidates with food manufacturing experience are preferred but not required. This role demands strong analytical and communication skills.

Prepare and maintain daily, weekly, and monthly production schedules to support on-time order delivery.
Monitor production progress against the plan and highlight delays or risks.
Update and adjust production plans when there are changes in orders, capacity, or material availability.
Monitor inventory levels and plan material requirements to support production needs.
Coordinate closely with Production, Purchasing, Warehouse, Sales, QC, and R&D to ensure schedules are aligned.
Assist in prioritising production orders based on deadlines and operational constraints.
Track and compile planning-related KPIs such as output vs plan, yield variances, and production losses.
Prepare regular planning and status reports for management.
