Job summary

A manufacturing company located in Johor, Malaysia is seeking a Production Planner to prepare monthly production schedules and ensure smooth operations. The ideal candidate should have at least 1-2 years of experience in production planning, a Diploma or Degree in a related field, and strong skills in Microsoft Excel. Preferred candidates are Mandarin-speaking to serve clients effectively. Good coordination, communication, and problem-solving skills are essential for this role.

Job description
Responsibilities
  • Prepare monthly production schedules based on the company’s monthly task allocation.
  • Update the assembly and hub planning tables according to the daily hub reports.
  • Follow up on production progress to ensure daily plans are achieved with zero backlog.
  • Handle and resolve production abnormalities promptly.
  • Coordinate and monitor domestic delivery plans to ensure smooth production operations.
  • Prepare pallet purchasing plans based on order packing lists and notify suppliers for timely delivery.
  • Communicate with production, warehouse, purchasing, and logistics departments to ensure schedule alignment.
  • Provide daily / weekly planning and progress reports to management.
Requirements
  • Minimum Diploma or Degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business Administration, Engineering, or related field.
  • At least 1–2 years of experience in production planning, scheduling, or related field.
  • Strong skills in Microsoft Excel (e.g. VLOOKUP, Pivot Table, basic formulas).
  • Good understanding of production process, BOM, and material planning.
  • Strong coordination, communication, and problem‑solving skills.
  • Able to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Good attention to detail and strong sense of responsibility.
  • Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.
  • Preferably Mandarin-speaking candidates.
