Job summary

A healthcare provider in Negeri Sembilan, Malaysia, seeks a Pharmacy Technician who will be responsible for managing stock levels and dispensing medications. The ideal candidate will hold a Diploma of Pharmacy and have at least 1 year of experience. Strong verbal communication skills in both English and Bahasa are essential, as is the ability to work meticulously and independently. Qualifications

  • Diploma of Pharmacy from a recognized university.
  • Minimum 1 year working experience in a similar capacity.
  • Computer literate and familiar with Microsoft Office and Excel.

Responsibilities

  • Check stock par level manually and via system.
  • Create Purchase Requisitions for low stock items.
  • Follow up with suppliers for stock deliveries.
  • Perform receiving via system and organize stock.
  • Troubleshoot any inventory related issues.
  • Screen prescriptions for accuracy.
  • Prepare and label medications accurately.
  • Charge medications ordered on prescriptions.
  • Double-check the accuracy of prepared medications.
  • Dispense medications to patients.
  • Counsel patients on medications and device usage.

Responsibilities
  • Checking of stock par level both manually and by system.
  • Creating Purchase Requisitions for items that are of low stock and need to be replenished.
  • Following up with the suppliers to ensure stock(s) delivery.
  • Performing receiving via system and arranging stock(s) according to storage requirements.
  • Troubleshooting any inventory related problems.
  • Screening of prescription for accuracy.
  • Preparing and labelling of medications accurately.
  • Charging the medications ordered on the prescriptions accordingly.
  • Double checking the accuracy of the medications prepared.
  • Dispensing the medications to the patients.
  • Counselling the patients on medications and device usage.
Requirements
  • Diploma of Pharmacy from any university recognized by Malaysia Board of Pharmacy.
  • Minimum 1 year working experience in similar capacity.
  • Computer literate and familiar with Microsoft Office and Excel.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English and Bahasa language.
  • Meticulous and detailed-orientated person.
  • Able to work independently with minimum supervision.
  • Patient orientated.
  • Good team work.
