Job summary

An oil and gas engineering firm is seeking a skilled Petrophysicist with a minimum of 10 years of experience in the industry, including 3 years within the last 10 years. The role requires expertise in evaluating clastic and carbonate reservoirs and proficiency with various logging types. Responsibilities include supporting drilling campaigns and providing expert guidance on logging techniques. The ideal candidate will possess familiarity with subsurface conditions in offshore Malaysia and relevant log interpretation software.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years total experience in oil and gas industry as a Petrophysicist.
• At least 3 years of experience within the past 10 years.
• Familiar with subsurface in the offshore Malaysia area.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert recommendations on suitable logging types for data acquisition.
• Support real-time drilling campaigns through petrophysical evaluations.
• Supervise and monitor logging, pressure tests, and fluid sampling.

Job description

• Minimum 10 years total experience as Petrophysicist in oil and gas industry which minimum 3 years (out of the 10 years) must be within the past 10 years.
• Experience in clastic and carbonate reservoirs.
• Experience in petrophysical evaluation of thin-bedded reservoirs.
• Experience with various logging types (general logs and sophisticated logs such as NMR, dielectric, image log, RT scanner), and experience in providing expert recommendations on the suitable log to meet data acquisition objective.
• Experience on logging, pressure test and fluid sampling operation and experience in supervising/monitoring operation.
• Experience on petrophysical evaluation, support and guidance to the real time drilling campaign and post drilling campaign.
• Familiar with subsurface in the offshore Malaysia area.
• Experience with log interpretation software.
