Job description

Do you have a passion for animals and a desire to provide exceptional care to our furry friends? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you to join our team as a Pet Nanny at Leo & Friends' in Petaling Jaya, Selangor. This full-time role will allow you to combine your love for pets with your exceptional customer service skills.

What you'll be doing

Animal Care and Enrichment

Daily Care: Provide loving care to pets, including feeding according to dietary instructions, providing fresh water, and ensuring a clean and comfortable environment.

Playtime and Socialization: Engage pets in playtime activities and socialization appropriate to their age, breed, and temperament.

Individual Attention: Provide personalized attention and cuddles to each pet, catering to their unique needs and preferences.

Behavioral Monitoring: Observe pet behavior for any signs of stress, anxiety, or illness, and report any concerns to the Pet Hotel Supervisor.

Medication Administration: Administer medications as instructed by pet owners or veterinary staff.

Grooming and Hygiene

Basic Grooming: Maintain pet hygiene with basic grooming tasks such as brushing and wiping fur/coats as needed.

Cleanliness: Keep pet areas clean and tidy, including sanitizing bedding, bowls, and play areas.

Facility Maintenance

Cleanliness and Safety: Assist in maintaining a clean, safe, and organized pet hotel environment.

Stocking: Help with restocking supplies such as food, treats, bedding, and cleaning materials.

Guest Services

Welcome and Departure: Assist with welcoming pets and their owners upon arrival and departure, ensuring a smooth check-in/check-out process.

Communication: Communicate with pet owners about their pet's stay, providing updates and reassurance.

Other

Emergency Response: Assist with emergency procedures as directed by the Pet Hotel Supervisor.

Teamwork: Work collaboratively with other pet hotel staff to provide excellent care to all guests.

Continuing Education: Participate in training and development opportunities to enhance knowledge of pet care and behavior.

What we're looking for

Previous experience in pet care or hospitality field will be prioritized but not needed to apply.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with both pets and their owners.

Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills, with the ability to think on your feet.

Physically fit and able to handle the demands of the role, such as walking, lifting, and playing with animals.

A genuine love and compassion for animals, with the ability to provide them with a safe, nurturing, and enriching environment.
