Job summary

A leading technology firm in Malaysia is seeking an engineer to optimize workstation layouts and improve production efficiencies. The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering and be well-versed in manufacturing processes and equipment maintenance. Responsibilities include analyzing production issues and developing solutions, introducing automation, and preparing technical documentation for new product introductions. Proficiency in English, Mandarin, and Bahasa Malaysia is essential for effective communication with clients.

Qualifications

Job description

• Optimize workstation layout and process flow.
• Analyze FQC batch rejections and develop corrective actions.
• Analyze line issues and implement improvements.
• Improve yield and first-pass rate through targeted actions.
• Support NPI (New Product Introduction) activities.
• Prepare technical documentation for production transfer.
• Maintain and repair jigs and fixtures regularly.
• Introduce automation/semi-automation to enhance efficiency and yield.
• Perform equipment maintenance and calibration.
• Build, debug, and optimize custom test equipment.
• Carry out equipment EOS (End-of-Support) maintenance.

Job Requirements

• Candidate must possess at least bachelor's degree in any Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
• Familiar with manufacturing processes and equipment maintenance.
• Experience in production issue handling and improvement.
• Knowledge of automation equipment and fixture debugging.
• Able to work independently with minimal guidance.
• Possesses strong interpersonal and communication abilities.
• Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office and other office productivity software.
• Proficiency communication in English, Mandarin, and Bahasa Malaysia.
