Job summary
A training and development center in Penang is seeking a Payroll Officer. Responsibilities
- Process monthly payroll accurately and comply with policies.

- Prepare statutory contributions and submit on time.
- Generate payroll reports for finance month-end activities.
- Handle employee queries regarding payroll.
- Liaise with Finance and HR on payroll matters.

Responsibilities
- Process monthly payroll accurately and in compliance with company policies and statutory requirements.
- Verify attendance, overtime, allowances, deductions, and other payroll-related data.
- Prepare and submit statutory contributions (EPF, SOCSO, EIS, PCB) within required deadlines.
- Generate payroll reports and support finance in month-end closing activities.
- Handle queries from employees regarding payroll, payslips, and statutory matters.
- Liaise with Finance, HR and external agencies on payroll-related matters.
Requirements
- Minimum Requirement : Diploma in Accounting, Finance, Human Resources, or related field.
- Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in payroll processing (preferably using Kakitangan).
- Strong understanding of Malaysian statutory requirements (EPF, SOCSO, EIS, Income Tax).
- High attention to detail and ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and payroll systems.
