A global data analytics company is seeking a Payroll professional in Sepang, Malaysia. This role requires end-to-end payroll processing for various APAC countries with strong compliance knowledge. Candidates must have 2-4 years of experience in payroll and possess excellent communication and problem-solving skills. You will streamline payroll operations and manage stakeholder relationships while ensuring compliance with payroll legislation. This is a fast-paced role demanding accuracy and attention to detail.
This role is expected to demonstrate strong payroll professional with a proven track record in payroll processing and tax compliance in APAC region. You shall be ideally a passionate, self-starter, self-motivated and is a good team player. The role is a fantastic opportunity to be involved in leading transformation, digitalization and automations of transactional processes with stakeholders across different regions.
The successful candidate will report to the Payroll Manager. The role will be required to streamline and strengthen Payroll operating rhythm while concurrently manage stakeholders and the team’s continuous improvement projects. It is a fast-paced environment where attention to detail and commitment to payroll accuracy and timeliness is imperative.
Process end-to-end payroll processing for APAC region. Experience in India, China any other countries in APAC is a plus.
Responsible for executing all the regular payroll, off cycle payroll, termination to all employees in a timely and accurate manner.
Maintain employee records, onboarding, termination, leaves and variations accurately and timely
Keep abreast of current payroll legislation and ensure payroll compliance for the country.
Manage relationships with all stakeholders (HR, Finance, Compliance) and third-party vendor, ensuring they meet performance standards and compliance requirements
Keep documentation updated such Payroll Policy, Payroll Matrix and Process Note.
Perform backup activities for peer as and when required.
KPI management; including preparing relevant weekly, monthly, quarterly and year-end reports
Recommend continuous improvement project that enhance timely, responsive, accurate and well controlled service delivery and customer satisfaction ratings
Act as the first level of point of contact for any escalated payroll issue in the team, Managing escalation independently and swiftly
Advanced Diploma or Bachelor Degree or professional qualification, in HR, Finance, Statistics, Account or related field
Minimum of 2-4 years extensive experience with end-to-end payroll processing, especially APAC countries, is a plus.
Good command of both spoken and written English.
Possess excellent communications skills, problem solving and decision-making skills
Ability to work according to strict deadlines and manage various demands, demonstrating accuracy & attention to detail.
Ability to work independently, troubleshoot, organize and execute immediate decision making at stressful environment
