Job description

As a Packaging Engineer, you will play a vital role in designing and developing innovative packaging solutions that meet the needs of our diverse range of clients. This is a full-time position that offers opportunities for career growth and development within our dynamic organization.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for packaging structure design (including paper, wood-plastic, and plastic transport packaging), prototype validation, and testing; issue technical drawings via the system.
• Develop and maintain Work Instructions (WI) for packaging processes.
• Collaborate with China Packaging R&D team, LOB, or even customer for new customer inquiries or design/material change.
• Staying up-to-date with industry trends, regulations, and best practices in packaging design and manufacturing.
• Providing technical support and training to the production team to ensure proper implementation of packaging solutions.
• Responsible for process control and continuous improvement on production process.
• Provide training to Production & QC team on new or revised packaging application and process control.
• Troubleshoot packaging issues on the mass production line and provide technical solutions.
• Work closely with business teams to understand project requirements and coordinate the resolution of packaging challenges.

Qualifications

• Language proficiency: English, Bahasa Malaysian and Mandarin. We are seeking candidates proficient in Mandarin to effectively communicate with Mandarin-speaking clients.
• Education background: Possess at least a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or related fields.
• Experience in packaging design, structure, testing, and printing, preferably with exposure to mass production line support.
• Familiarity with packaging design software and relevant testing standards (Solidworks / Creo / Ctia / UG / AutoCad).
• Strong communication and coordination skills, capable of supporting cross-functional collaboration.
• Experience managing multiple projects concurrently is preferred.
