Safety & Health Officer
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement the company’s OSHE strategic plan, ensuring integration with business objectives and alignment with ISO 45001 and other relevant standards.
- Implement and improve OSHE management systems for continual improvement, including internal audits, certification audits, and compliance assurance.
- Implement, monitor and provide advisory on OSHE policies and procedures practices, ensuring consistency across all departments.
- Establish and track OSHE performance KPIs and Yearly Master Plan, conduct data analysis, and present trends and recommendations to management for decision‑making.
- Develop and monitor corporate‑wide risk registers (HIRARC, Risk & Opportunity Register), ensuring integration of preventive and mitigation measures at departmental level.
- Conduct risk assessments for new projects, expansions, or technology changes, ensuring early integration of safety and operational controls.
- Identify, investigate and report incidents and accidents, conduct root cause analysis using recognized methodologies, and ensure effective corrective action and preventive action implementation.
- Drive digital transformation of OSHE systems, including e‑permits and other digital system implementation.
- Oversee contractor OSHE compliance, including Permit to Work, and performance monitoring during their work.
- Manage ISO 45001 documentation, execution, records, and systems to always ensure audit readiness and regulatory compliance.
- Mentor and guide OSHE Executives, departmental supervisors, and committee members to build capability and enhance safety leadership within the workforce.
- Benchmark OSHE practices against industry best practices and propose innovations/Kaizen for continuous improvement.
- Participate in Energy Management committee, execute periodic meetings and prepare minutes on energy‑related data and projects follow‑up, including Energy Management System ISO50001, Green Building Index, solar installation, and energy saving measures.
- Compile and analyze Sustainability data—including energy and solar, Specific Energy Consumption, Waste Recycling Rate, Refrigerant gas, and EECA compliance.
