Qualifications

  • Candidate must possess at least a Professional Certificate or higher in Optometry.
  • Fluent in English and Bahasa Malaysia is required, Mandarin is a plus.
  • Able to work retail hours including weekends and public holidays.

Responsibilities

  • Examine patients' eyes and detect signs of injury, disease or vision defects.
  • Provide advice on visual problems and suggest visual aids.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.

Requirements
  • Candidate must possess at least a Professional Certificate, Advanced/Higher/Graduate Diploma, Degree, or Advanced Degree in Optometry
  • Positive attitude, passion for collaborative teamwork, excellent interpersonal & verbal communication skills
  • Able to work in retail business hours, including weekends and public holidays
  • Multi-tasking, resourceful and able to work independently
  • Valid Annual Practicing Certificate & registered with Malaysian Optical Council (must be shown in store)
  • Fluent in English, Bahasa Malaysia, optionally Mandarin will be added advantage
Responsibilities

This position is responsible for examining, diagnosing and treating parts of the visual system. Typical duties include performing vision tests, diagnosing sight problems, prescribing contact lenses and eyeglasses.

  • Perform optometry services as per standard operating procedures and policies such as examine patients’ eyes to detect signs of injury, disease, abnormality or vision defect
  • Provide advice on visual problems and prescribe visual aids
  • Ensure compliance with occupational health and safety regulations
