Job description

Responsibilities

• Under general supervision, performs a variety of distribution duties that may include pulling/checking customer orders, replenishment, shipping and material handling.
• Complete QDR's (Quality Deficiency Report) and scrap tickets on defective materials and verify rejected materials with the operator. Complete Bills of Lading on recyclable items.
• Report and record discrepancies to originating departments.
• Process work in process, finished goods, raw material and branch assignments into computer.
• Maintain inventory, out list-direct incoming stock to pick/drop areas.
• Operate hand and power equipment for manufacturing, slitting or packaging.
• Receives incoming materials or prepares materials for shipment.
• Verify that materials produced are in good condition and specifically as ordered. Identify items and quantity for each load before movement to store location or destination.
• Move, count, sort, stack, arrange material in designated locations. See that materials are properly marked before material handlers/forklift drivers pick up.
• Check trash, recyclables and cardboard compactor and call the appropriate removal company when necessary.
• Ensure minimum wastage/scrap at all times.
• All jobs must be related to MPS.
• Detect and report to the immediate supervisor or to the Quality Control Department any damaged goods, shortages, unidentified materials and other unusual conditions.

• SPM/Diploma is preferred.
