Job summary

A recruitment agency in Malaysia seeks a Warehouse / Operations Assistant to manage daily warehouse activities including inbound and outbound operations. The candidate should have 1-2 years of warehouse experience, basic SAP knowledge, and be a collaborative team player. English proficiency is necessary for following safety protocols and communications. A valid ability to operate logistical equipment like forklifts is preferred. Job description

As a Warehouse / Operations Assistant, you are involved in the smooth running of the busy warehouse, from producing order pick lists to final dispatch of goods. Supporting and assisting with stock control of clients’ products and taking responsibility for ensuring the workplace environment is maintained in a clean and orderly fashion.

Job Responsibilities
  • Perform daily warehouse duties including but not limited to inbound (receiving, sorting, put-away), outbound (pick/pack/release), materials handling responsibilities and general housekeeping duties.
  • Ensure warehouse is always kept clean and tidy, and items stored in the correct location of the warehouse.
  • Regularly ensure accurate locations of goods and pick orders from correct location.
  • Pack orders in accordance with client instructions.
  • Dispatch orders through the system, selecting a carrier and producing a shipping label, ensuring items are in the correct location for collection by the carrier.
  • Ensure aware of health and safety procedures and highlight any risks to the Warehouse Manager or Health & Safety Officer.
Requirements
  • Min SPM / Certificates or equivalent.
  • At least 1 - 2 year of Warehouse & Logistics operation experience preferred.
  • Basic SAP knowledge.
  • Good self discipline and collaborative team player.
  • Demonstratable sufficient command of the English language to understand health and safety instructions, write straightforward emails and give verbal instructions/information to colleagues.
  • Must be able to be based in Prai / Batu Kawan.
  • Ability to operate power stacker, scissor lift, reach truck & Forklift (would be an added advantage).
