Overview
As the Operations Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of production, driver management, and inventory control at our facility. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient and effective operation of our manufacturing processes, logistics, and inventory management systems.
Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee all production activities, including scheduling, resource allocation, and quality control, to ensure the timely delivery of high-quality products.
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of drivers, including route planning, vehicle maintenance, and adherence to safety protocols.
- Develop and implement strategies to optimize inventory levels, minimize stock shortages, and reduce carrying costs.
- Monitor production and inventory data to identify trends, anticipate demand fluctuations, and make data-driven decisions to improve operational efficiency.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including sales, procurement, and finance, to forecast production requirements, plan inventory purchases, and meet customer demands.
- Implement and enforce standard operating procedures (SOPs) to ensure compliance with regulatory standards, quality guidelines, and safety regulations.
- Lead, mentor, and motivate a team of operations staff, fostering a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and teamwork.
- Identify areas for process improvement and cost optimization, and lead initiatives to streamline operations and enhance productivity.
- Manage relationships with external suppliers, contractors, and service providers.
- Prepare regular reports and presentations for senior management, highlighting key performance metrics, operational challenges, and opportunities for improvement.
Requirements
- Diploma/Degree in business administration, industrial management, logistics, or related field
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in operations management, preferably in manufacturing
- Proven track record of success in managing production processes, inventory control, and logistics operations
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail
- Proficiency in inventory management software, ERP systems, and Microsoft Office Suite
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements and industry best practices in manufacturing
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact effectively with stakeholders at all levels of the organization
- Fluency in English and Mandarin languages required to communicate with counterparts and vendors; proficiency in other languages is a plus
