Purpose Statement:
This job involves leading strategic manufacturing operations, driving operational excellence, championing customer needs, and ensuring compliance, safety, and sustainability. The role involves complex problem-solving and adapting practices to meet undefined situations. The position demands in-depth organizational knowledge to analyze data and implement strategic policies, adhering to budgets, schedules, work plans, and performance requirements.
Key Job Accountabilities:
- Lead strategic manufacturing operations and develop high-performing teams: Achieved by setting the direction for manufacturing, aligning with business goals, and cultivating a strong team through talent development, succession planning, and fostering leadership capabilities at all levels within operations.
- Drive operational excellence and achieve key performance metrics: Accomplished through implementing and continuously improving operational systems and processes to maximize efficiency, reduce waste, and consistently meet or exceed targets for key metrics like cost, yield, and throughput.
- Champion customer needs and contribute to business growth through operational solutions: Realized by understanding and advocating for customer requirements within manufacturing, acting as a key point of contact, managing the operational aspects of customer profitability, and identifying opportunities to leverage operational capabilities for new business.
- Lead strategic programs for continuous improvement in efficiency, delivery, and quality: Executed by identifying, prioritizing, and leading significant improvement initiatives across labor efficiency, on-time delivery, and product quality. Success requires cross-functional collaboration, resource management, and rigorous tracking of customer program outcomes.
- Ensure compliance, safety, and sustainability across manufacturing operations: Established by maintaining a strong culture of adherence to all relevant regulations, internal standards, and customer specifications. Education/Experience Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree with 10+ years of experience in the EMS and previous experience in an operations management role is required.
