Role Summary

The Operations Director will oversee the full spectrum of operations including Production, Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain, Procurement, Planning, Maintenance and Warehouse & Logistics. This role is responsible for driving efficiency, elevating performance standards, strengthening compliance and creating a high‑performing operations culture across a large‑scale manufacturing facility.

You will play a crucial role in shaping our operational strategy, improving productivity, ensuring world‑class quality and supporting our growth as a global manufacturing leader.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage end‑to‑end manufacturing operations to achieve world‑class performance in quality, delivery, cost and safety.
  • Drive operational excellence initiatives including Lean Manufacturing, automation, digitalisation and continuous improvement (Kaizen / Six Sigma).
  • Oversee Production Planning & Control to ensure alignment with demand, capacity and customer requirements.
  • Strengthen Quality Assurance systems and ensure compliance with international standards and responsible business practices (ISO, RBA, EHS).
  • Direct strategic sourcing, purchasing, supply chain, inventory optimisation and logistics.
  • Identify bottlenecks, analyse root causes and implement long‑term sustainable solutions.
  • Manage annual operational budgets, forecast requirements and deliver cost‑optimisation initiatives.
  • Lead, coach and mentor a large operations workforce; build a high‑performance, disciplined and collaborative team culture.
  • Drive manufacturing readiness for new projects, technologies and automation systems.
  • Ensure safe, compliant and efficient operations across all functions.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering or related fields.
  • Minimum 15–20 years of experience in high‑volume electronics/EMS manufacturing; at least 10 years in a senior leadership role.
  • Strong exposure to end‑to‑end operations including Production, Engineering, QA, Supply Chain and Planning.
  • Proven ability in resolving operational challenges and improving performance across large teams.
  • Strong financial acumen in budgeting, cost control and operational P&L management.
  • Excellent leadership, analytical and communication skills.
  • Languages: English & Bahasa Malaysia required; Mandarin proficiency strongly preferred (to support communication with regional/global teams).
  • Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, dynamic and multicultural environment.
