A leading logistics company in Subang Jaya is looking for an Operations Assistant Manager to oversee customs clearance operations and ensure compliance with regulations. The ideal candidate will have at least 2–3 years of experience in customs brokerage and possess strong leadership and problem-solving skills. Job description
Operations Assistant Manager (Freight Forwarding/Logistics)

Oversee end-to-end customs clearance operations, including import, export, transshipment, and transportation.

Ensure compliance with Royal Malaysian Customs and other regulatory requirements.

Liaise with government agencies such as Customs, MITI, SIRIM, MAQIS, MOH, and Port Authorities.

Manage licensing renewals, SOPs, and monitor customs clearance KPIs.

Supervise local partners and third-party contractors involved in customs operations.

Prepare and propose annual budgets.

Lead, train, and mentor the operations team to ensure smooth workflow.

Provide expert guidance to clients and internal departments regarding customs procedures and documentation.

Requirements

Minimum 2–3 years of experience in customs brokerage or logistics operations, including 1–2 years in a supervisory or team lead role.

Strong knowledge of port systems, DagangNet, documentation, permits, HS code classification, and customs procedures.

KEK certificate is an added advantage.

Experience dealing with regulatory agencies and port authorities.

Strong leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Candidates with ocean freight experience will be preferred.
