A biodiversity conservation organization is seeking a dedicated individual to support in planning and executing biodiversity baselines and managing conservation assets. Responsibilities include assisting in statistical analysis and coordinating field teams for biodiversity monitoring efforts. Applicants should possess a degree in Biology, Ecology, or a related field, with fresh graduates welcomed. A solid understanding of wildlife surveys and teamwork skills are essential. The position requires full-time commitment in Pekan, Pahang and offers a chance to work closely with indigenous communities.
Assist in planning and executing biodiversity baselines, including design and support of statistically robust field surveys.
Manage biodiversity assets and equipment (camera traps, binoculars, etc.) through routine inspection and maintenance.
Assist in statistical analysis, collation, and organization of biodiversity data from field surveys.
Support the planning and execution of High Conservation Value (HCV) assessments and related monitoring.
Assist in developing and implementing biodiversity monitoring protocols and systems, including support for training sessions with partners and stakeholders.
Support biodiversity conservation activities and ensure proper documentation of field actions.
Coordinate field teams and external parties as required to deliver conservation and monitoring activities.
Contribute to narrative writing, data preparation, visuals, and figures for Monitoring Reports aligned with certification standards (e.g., Verra CCB).
Support the creation of project communications materials (brochures, posters, presentations, online content), including data visualization and photography.
Stay updated on domestic biodiversity regulations and international developments, advising the team on key implications.
Carry out any other tasks assigned from time to time.

Bachelor’s degree in Biology, Ecology, Environmental Science, Forestry, or a related field.
Fresh graduates are welcome; 1–3 years of relevant experience is an added advantage.
Good understanding of wildlife surveys, ecological fieldwork, and biodiversity monitoring methods.
Competent in Microsoft Office, especially Excel; familiarity with data analysis or statistical tools such as R is an advantage.
Strong organizational, analytical, and teamwork skills.
Able to work outdoors in challenging field conditions, including irregular working hours and public holidays.
Good verbal and written communication skills in Malay and English; the ability to speak Jakun languages is a plus.
Respectful and able to work effectively with Indigenous and local communities.
Proactive, responsible, detail-oriented, and willing to learn.
Possession of a valid driver’s license or the ability to swim is an advantage.
This position requires candidate to be based full-time in Pekan, Pahang.
