Job description

The Occupational, Safety and Health Coordinator reports to Senior Safety Manager and is responsible for coordinating day-to-day operation activities and ensuring jobs are completed in a safe and timely manner by providing planning, direction, and control of all field jobs.

Daily Tasks & Responsibilities
  • Assist in implementing and maintaining practice relevant to EHS.
  • Check and review documents provided by sub-contractors, liaise and arrange induction for new employees.
  • Fulfill the OSH Coordinator responsibilities as mentioned in new section OSHA 2022.
  • Oversee and coordinate scheduled waste inventories, handling, storage, transport and disposal, and liaise with license scheduled waste contractor.
  • Liaise with sub-contractors for active workers list on weekly & monthly basis and update active workers list.
  • Register employees with client’s badge & Kinetics badge; terminate inactive workers.
  • Liaise with vendor(s) and purchase required items by department.
  • Keep good record tracking of workers’ Master List.
  • Furnish weekly & monthly report.
  • Assist in other ad-hoc duties as and when assigned by superior/safety manager.
Qualifications & Requirements
  • Possess a bachelor’s degree/diploma in Safety or any related field with 2-3 years of working experience as OSH Coordinator.
  • Strong communication skills, including the ability to converse, read and write effectively in English and Bahasa Malaysia.
  • Proficient in MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.

Working Hours

Monday - Friday

Entitle for OT Rate 1.5 (Normal Working Day & Off Day)/ 2.0 (Public Holiday & Rest Day) / 3.0 (Rest Day on PH)

Contribution of EPF, Socso & EIS. Annual Leave, Sick Leaves and Other Special Leaves under company.
