We are seeking an O&M Engineer / Performance Analyst – Solar PV to ensure our client's operating solar plants continue to perform efficiently, safely and in line with design expectations over the long term.
This role focuses on post-commissioning operations, combining engineering insight, data analysis and hands‑on problem solving.
Key Responsibilities
Plant Performance & Monitoring
- Monitor solar plant performance using SCADA, monitoring platforms and performance dashboards
- Track key metrics such as energy yield, PR (Performance Ratio), availability and losses
- Analyse data trends to identify underperformance, degradation or abnormal behaviour
- Prepare performance reports for internal teams, asset owners, or clients
Operations & Maintenance
- Plan and oversee preventive and corrective maintenance activities
- Coordinate with site technicians, O&M contractors and vendors for inspections and repairs
- Troubleshoot issues related to inverters, strings, combiner boxes, transformers, sensors and communication systems
- Support site visits and fault diagnosis when alarms or performance drops occur
Warranty & Asset Management
- Manage equipment warranties
- Identify warranty‑claimable issues and liaise with OEMs for rectification or replacement
- Maintain asset documentation, service records and maintenance logs
Optimisation & Continuous Improvement
- Identify opportunities to improve plant performance and availability
- Support system upgrades, optimisation initiatives or retrofits when required
- Provide technical input for long‑term asset health and lifecycle management
Requirements
- Degree in Electrical, Mechanical or related Engineering
- Experience in solar PV O&M, power plants or electrical systems preferred
- Familiar with SCADA systems, monitoring platforms and performance analysis
- Understanding of solar PV system components and fault behaviour
- Comfortable working with data, reports and technical documentation
- Able to work independently while coordinating with multiple stakeholders
