Position Overview

As the Nurse Manager for Operation Theater, you will be responsible for overseeing the efficient functioning of the department. This role requires a versatile nursing leader with experience in operation theatre management.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Team Management: Provide strong leadership to nursing staff in Operation Theater departments. Foster a collaborative and positive work environment to enhance teamwork and morale.
  • Clinical Oversight: Ensure adherence to clinical protocols and standards in operation theatre procedures. Collaborate with healthcare professionals to optimize patient outcomes and experiences.
  • Staff Development: Recruit, train, and mentor nursing staff to promote professional growth in both departments. Conduct regular performance assessments and provide ongoing education opportunities.
  • Quality Assurance: Implement and monitor quality assurance initiatives to maintain the highest standards of care in both departments. Stay informed about industry best practices and regulatory requirements.
  • Patient-Centered Care: Advocate for a patient-centred approach, ensuring compassionate and personalized care in operation theatre settings. Address patient concerns and collaborate with the healthcare team to enhance patient satisfaction.
Qualifications
  • Degree / Diploma in Nursing
  • Post-basic certificate in Peri-Operative
  • Licenses and Certification
  • Valid Annual Practising Certificate
  • Registered with the Malaysian Nursing Board
  • Working Experiences
  • 5 years and above of relevant working experience
  • Supervisory and administrative experience is an added advantage
  • Additional Knowledge is required.
  • Advanced clinical skills and knowledge in general nursing, perioperative care, assisted anesthesiology, and scrubbing.
  • Clinical competency in Nursing Care management, including areas of specialization such as OT, NRP, etc
