Job summary

A manufacturer in Penang is seeking a Mechanical Engineer with strong skills in analyzing technical drawings and problem-solving. Responsibilities include supporting customer reworks, preparing cost documents, and sourcing materials. Candidates should have a relevant degree and 2-3 years of experience in the manufacturing or heavy industry. Knowledge of die casting and proficiency in Solid Works or CAD software is preferred. Qualifications

1 position based in Penang Science Park.

Job Responsibilities

• Able to read, analyze and analytical technical drawing
• Support customer onside reworks
• Follow up FA parts & FAIR report
• Support customer complaint & service
• To perform 3d & 2d drawing when require
• Prepare RFQ
• Prepare ECN for revision charge
• Prepare awarded parts costing for item source update
• Prepare Technical Query (TQ) for awarded parts
• Understand the details and all the process flow
• Prepare PCP & PFMEA for awarded parts
• Sourcing for new item/parts and material
• Cost review and revise
• Any task assigned by HOD / superior

Job Qualification

• Degree in mechanical/manufacturing engineering or any related engineering field.
• Minimum 2 - 3 years working experience in manufacturing/heavy industry and having knowledge in die casting/ sheet metal is preferable
• Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Outlook, Excel and Power Point).
• Strong problem-solving, teamwork and communication skills and interpersonal skills.
• Knowledgeable in 3D & 2D drawing.
• Ability to solve problems through fact-based decision making process.
• Basic experience with Solid Work and CAD software.
• Able to work independently with minimum supervision.
