Overview

About the Client: A well-established engineering group is expanding into the Agricultural Solutions sector, launching a new division dedicated to plantation tools and solutions.

This is an exciting opportunity for a driven sales professional to pioneer growth, expand distribution networks, and build market presence across Malaysia with future expansion into Indonesia and Thailand.

Role Overview

As Sales Manager, you will:

  • Promote and sell agricultural tools (including harvesting sickles), achieving monthly and quarterly sales targets.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with plantation clients, distributors, and farmers, ensuring after-sales support and tailored solutions.
  • Develop new distribution channels, particularly in rural and plantation areas.
  • Lead product promotions, demonstrations, and awareness campaigns.
  • Conduct market research, track competitor activities, and recommend strategies to stay competitive.
  • Prepare quotations, negotiate contracts, and successfully close sales deals.
  • Represent the company at trade shows, exhibitions, and industry events.
Ideal Candidate Profile
  • 3–5 years of proven sales experience in agriculture, plantations, or related industries.
  • Strong networks with palm oil & rubber plantations.
  • Background in fertilizers, agro-chemicals, crop protection, or farm tools/equipment.
  • Demonstrated success in distributor/channel management.
  • Willingness to travel extensively (Malaysia + region).
  • Bilingual (Bahasa & English) preferred.
