Job Summary

With guidance, underwrites and analyzes new and existing life insurance business within delegated authority levels to achieve business goals and maximize customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

• Completes assignments of moderate to high complexity within delegated authority.
• Provides technical underwriting support and guidance to customers and distributors, ensuring excellent customer service.
• Maintains relationships with internal and external distributors by requesting correct evidence, making appropriate decisions, and explaining rating decisions clearly.
• Handles queries and referrals within authority limits, assessing risk and maintaining underwriting standards.
• Contributes to the development and enhancement of underwriting standards, controls, and procedures to meet business objectives.
• Suggests ideas for new or improved propositions, procedures, and philosophies to ensure appropriate premium charges for risks.
• Identifies training needs for self and others and assists with training as needed.
