A technology solutions provider in Kuala Lumpur is seeking a Network Support Specialist to provide Level 1 and 2 support for network infrastructure. The candidate should have 2-5 years of experience in network support, hands-on troubleshooting skills in switches and firewalls, and knowledge of TCP/IP and SD-WAN technologies. Responsibilities include monitoring network alerts, preparing reports, and assisting with preventive maintenance. This role offers opportunities for professional growth in a dynamic environment.
Provide Level 1 and Level 2 support for the customer’s network infrastructure.
Troubleshoot and analyse network incidents, working closely with internal experts or vendor support when required.
Monitor network alerts and coordinate timely issue resolution.
Diagnose and restore systems affected by outages or performance degradation.
Prepare incident reports, including root cause and corrective actions.
Assist with configuration and implementation of approved changes on Switches, Access Points, Firewalls, SD-WAN appliances
Ensure all configuration changes follow best practices and adhere to change management processes.
Participate in scheduled preventive maintenance and network health checks.
Conduct inspections, log reviews, capacity analysis, and general housekeeping activities.
Identify potential risks before they cause downtime.
Provide improvement recommendations related to performance, security, and scalability.
Assist with periodic firmware upgrades, software updates, and security patching activities.
Prepare monthly performance and incident reports.

Minimum Advanced Diploma or Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Networking or equivalent.
Minimum 2-5 years of experience in network support or operations.
Possess hands-on skills in troubleshooting switches, firewalls, wireless networks, and SD-WAN with a solid understanding of TCP/IP, routing, VLANs, and network monitoring tools.
Experience with firmware updates, preventive maintenance and documentation is preferred.
