Overview

This is a Network Engineer / Network Specialist position that focuses on designing, implementing, maintaining, and securing enterprise networks across on-premise and cloud environments. The role requires strong hands-on expertise with Cisco and multi-vendor networking products, firewall technologies, cloud networking (AWS/Azure), and ITSM processes. The engineer will support critical network operations, handle escalations, manage migrations, and work closely with vendors and project managers to ensure smooth delivery of network services.

Key Responsibilities

• Routing & Switching (LAN/WAN) – Deploy and manage routers, switches, MPLS, VPN, Cisco ACI, load balancers, and optimization tools.
• Research and test changes before implementation.
• Support L1/L2 teams during outages.
• Ensure network performance and coordinate with vendors.

• Network Security – Configure and maintain firewalls (Palo Alto, Checkpoint, Cisco ASA/FTD).
• Conduct migration of firewalls/load balancers.
• Maintain security documentation and drawings.
• Evaluate new solutions to strengthen network security.

• Cloud Networking – Build and manage AWS and Azure network integrations.
• Ensure smooth hybrid connectivity (cloud + on-prem).

Technical Experience

• 5–8 years of strong hands-on experience in routing, switching, and multi-vendor network setups.
• Skilled in wireless networking, load balancers, SDN, and advanced technologies.
• Experience with wireless bridging and IEEE 802.11 standards.
• Familiar with ITIL (Incident, Change, Asset Management).
• Knowledge of network security, proxy/PAC file management, and lifecycle management.
• CCNA certification is preferred.
