A telecommunications company in Malaysia is seeking an individual to manage and support Manufacturing/Office LAN/WAN/VPN and wireless infrastructure. The ideal candidate should hold a Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, possess 1–2 years of experience in networking, and have hands-on experience with network hardware. Responsibilities include troubleshooting network issues and maintaining performance standards, with opportunities for fresh graduates to apply.
Plan, build, and manage Manufacturing/Office LAN/WAN/VPN and wireless infrastructure.
Implement hardware/software changes to improve network performance, speed, and connectivity.
Troubleshoot network issues involving BGP, OSPF, VLAN, Spanning Tree, WAN, wireless, and network hardware/software.
Monitor local/regional network infrastructure and act as SME for network incidents and service requests.
Resolve vulnerabilities and maintain high security standards.
Manage vendor and service provider relationships to ensure effective operations.
Participate in IT projects, upgrades, and maintenance activities.
Provide L2 support for Windows servers and database environments, ensuring high availability.
Troubleshoot authentication, certificate management, and system security issues.
Support release activities, deployments, and User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
Handle incident management, escalations, and issue resolution according to SLAs/OLAs.
Provide onsite support for systems and network operations to end-users and clients.
Manage onboarding and offboarding processes within desktop workflows.
Collaborate with L1 and L2 support teams for escalations and complex issue resolution.
Maintain and update technical documentation, knowledge-based articles, and troubleshooting guides.
