Job description

Plan, build, and manage Manufacturing/Office LAN/WAN/VPN and wireless infrastructure.

Implement hardware/software changes to improve network performance, speed, and connectivity.

Troubleshoot network issues involving BGP, OSPF, VLAN, Spanning Tree, WAN, wireless, and network hardware/software.

Monitor local/regional network infrastructure and act as SME for network incidents and service requests.

Resolve vulnerabilities and maintain high security standards.

Manage vendor and service provider relationships to ensure effective operations.

Participate in IT projects, upgrades, and maintenance activities.

Provide L2 support for Windows servers and database environments, ensuring high availability.

Troubleshoot authentication, certificate management, and system security issues.

Support release activities, deployments, and User Acceptance Testing (UAT).

Handle incident management, escalations, and issue resolution according to SLAs/OLAs.

Provide onsite support for systems and network operations to end-users and clients.

Manage onboarding and offboarding processes within desktop workflows.

Collaborate with L1 and L2 support teams for escalations and complex issue resolution.

Maintain and update technical documentation, knowledge-based articles, and troubleshooting guides.

Job Responsibilities

Job Requirements
  • Candidate must be pursuing at least a Diploma/Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electronics, Electrical Engineering, or related fields.
  • 1–2 years professional experience in network routing, switching, wireless, and system administration.
  • Hands‑on experience with Cisco/Arista switches, WAN routers, VLAN, OSPF, BGP, Spanning Tree, QoS, WAN.
  • Solid knowledge of Windows servers, authentication, certificate management, and databases.
  • Familiarity with network services (DNS, DHCP, NTP, SNMP, SYSLOG, TFTP/FTP). Experience with network monitoring, vulnerability assessment tools, and troubleshooting utilities.
  • Technical certification (e.g., CCNA, CCNP, MCSE) is an advantage.
  • Willingness to travel and be hands‑on with equipment.
  • Good soft skills, communication skill and time management skill will be an added advantage.
  • Required language: English and Malay. Candidates who can speak Mandarin will be at an advantage.
  • Able to work independently.
  • Ability to multitask and remain motivated and positive.
