Role Description

This is a full‑time on‑site role for a MSc Student in Chemical Engineering, located in Ipoh, Malaysia. The MSc student will conduct advanced research in chemical engineering, collaborating with faculty and industry partners on innovative and impactful projects. Day‑to‑day tasks will include designing experiments, analyzing data, developing technical reports, and contributing to research publications. The student will also engage in academic activities such as presentations and progress reviews, while leveraging state‑of‑the‑art facilities and resources at UTP.

Qualifications

• Strong analytical and research skills to design experiments, analyze data, and solve complex engineering problems
• Proficiency in programming and technical computing tools relevant to chemical engineering research
• Basic understanding of or background in chemical or electrical engineering principles
• Effective communication skills, including the ability to write reports and deliver presentations on research findings
• Preferred: Familiarity with sustainability concepts or advanced topics in energy systems, materials, corrosion
• Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering or a related field with a strong academic record
