Job summary

A leading company in the marine industry is looking for an accounting professional in Kuala Lumpur. The role requires maintaining a complete set of accounts and ensuring accurate data recording in the accounting system. Ideal candidates should have a minimum of 5 years of experience with full account management. Familiarity with IFRS will be considered an advantage. The job offers a hybrid work model after the probation period and involves collaborating with auditors and relevant authorities.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Maintain a complete set of accounts ensuring data accuracy.
  • Reconcile general ledger and inventory accounts.
  • Handle daily accounting operations and monthly closing activities.
  • Prepare and submit analytical reports like Profit & Loss statements.
  • Perform month-end reconciliations of general ledger accounts.
  • Support preparation of management accounts and financial reports.
  • Maintain intercompany accounts and accrual schedules.
  • Prepare Income Statements and Balance Sheets for subsidiaries.
  • Liaise with tax agents, auditors, and relevant authorities.
  • Undertake other ad hoc duties as assigned.

Client: Germany Marine industry
Location: Jalan Sultan Ismail (CIMB Hub KL)
Working day: Mon-Fri (hybrid working is applicable after probation)

Job Scope

Assist in maintaining a complete set of accounts, ensuring all data is accurately recorded in the accounting system.

Establish, maintain, and reconcile general ledger and inventory accounts.

Handle daily accounting operations and monthly closing activities, including preparation and posting of month-end journal entries.

Prepare and submit accurate analytical reports such as Profit & Loss statements, margin analysis, billing and collection reports, exchange rate analysis, and cash flow status.

Perform month-end reconciliations and analysis of general ledger accounts, expenses, and development expenditures.

Support the preparation of management accounts and financial reports.

Maintain intercompany accounts and accrual schedules.

Prepare Income Statements and Balance Sheets for subsidiary entities.

Liaise with tax agents, auditors, bankers, and relevant authorities when required.

Undertake any other ad hoc duties as assigned.

Requirements
