About the Role

As a Mining Engineer at OUS Group, you will play a critical role in planning, executing, and optimizing iron ore mining operations. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure safe, efficient, and cost-effective extraction processes aligned with regulatory and environmental standards.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate the feasibility and commercial viability of new and existing iron ore mining sites
• Conduct site visits and analyze geological and geotechnical data to estimate ore reserves
• Design and implement efficient extraction systems tailored to site-specific conditions
• Develop mine plans, production schedules, and cost estimates using specialized mining software
• Identify and assess operational risks related to extraction and site conditions
• Monitor and manage daily mining activities to ensure adherence to timelines, budgets, and safety protocols
• Ensure compliance with all statutory regulations, environmental guidelines, and OHS standards
• Oversee the maintenance and safe operation of mining equipment and machinery
• Prepare technical reports, production records, and performance analyses
• Supervise and train site personnel, promoting a culture of safety and continuous improvement
• Collaborate with geologists, surveyors, and senior management to support strategic decision-making

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mining Engineering, Mineral Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related field
