Mergers & Acquisition Accounting Manager

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure transactions (capital deployment, M&A, divestitures, and other significant/non-routine activities) comply with US GAAP and internal finance standards, supported by clear accounting documentation.
  • Conduct or support due diligence, assess financial impacts, and identify risks for regional M&A and capital projects in partnership with cross-functional teams.
  • Review agreements and provide accounting insights to guide business negotiations and transaction decisions.
  • Lead accurate and timely integration/divestiture accounting, including developing plans, preparing US GAAP opening balance sheets, coordinating stakeholders, and ensuring smooth handover on closing.
  • Maintain strong communication with HQ and Technical Accounting teams, providing timely updates and aligning on complex accounting treatments.
  • Determine functional currency for new legal entities.
  • Assist with implementation of new US GAAP accounting standards.
  • Support updates and development of internal finance policies and standards.
  • Handle ad-hoc accounting and project requests.
