Job summary

A leading retail company in Kuala Lumpur is seeking a self-motivated individual for a permanent, full-time role focused on sourcing and buying new products. Responsibilities include liaising with suppliers, negotiating terms, analyzing stock performance, and assisting in promotional planning. Job Description

• Sourcing and buying of new related products to maximize sales and maintain optimal inventory
• Liaise with suppliers on promotional activities and prompt delivery of stocks.
• Negotiate with vendors regarding terms, conditions and margins to create competitive edge
• Analyze performance of stock and promotions to determine effectiveness of the product assortment and promotion strategy to drive market share
• Work closely with Sales & Marketing Department, assist to plan promotional activities merchandise according to line master plans
• Work closely with the stores and vendors on all replenishment activities, product range, promotions mechanics, pricing, and aging stocks
• To conduct market survey & visit competitors constantly for current market trend analysis and customer preferences
• Assist in the setting up of new stores and major fairs/ events

Job Requirements

• SPM graduates with 2 years working experience/ Diploma Holder/ Degree holder in any discipline
• Fresh graduates are welcome to apply
• Self-motivated, a team player with a positive working attitude
• Keen interest in retail and enjoy meeting people
• Able to work in fast pace environment & within tight timelines when required
